Early Childhood Education

DID YOU KNOW?

•No previous child-care experience is needed.

•A happy and friendly personality is an asset.

•You must enjoy working with children.

This is not a new Department. It is the old ‘Nursery Teachers Training’ Course that has been diversified. This is for expanding the employment prospects of our Students.
The ECE Teacher is the First Teacher in the life of a child. Our Course is therefore completely Child-Centred. We follow the play way and activity approach.
We train our Students in methods that lay the foundation for the 4R’s viz: Reading, Writing, Arithmetic and Relaxing. We approach with a philosophy that children need encouragement and Models rather than Critics. The Students are therefore trained in child behaviour, ethics and values needed. A basic knowledge of Child Diet
Health Care and First-Aid are also given.
The heart of the Course is craft and Activity-based. Interesting age-specific teaching Aids are taught. Due emphasis is given upon developing skills for Story Telling, Rhyme Recitation, Songs and Puppetry. The course helps trainees evolve into caring teachers. To help each child develop into holistic personalities.
